Barry R. Todd of St. Louis is currently serving as Imperial Chaplain for Shriners International and Shriners Hospitals for Children. He was appointed by Imperial Potentate Douglas E. Maxwell during the 2008 Imperial Council Session, held in St. Louis June 29 – July 3.

Todd was raised a Master Mason in 1980 at Webster Groves Lodge # 84 and is also a member of Noble Lodge # 684. He became a member of Moolah Shriners in 1981 and served as Potentate in 2000. He is currently completing his tenth year as a member of the Board of Governors of Shriners Hospitals for Children — St. Louis. Todd served on the board’s executive committee in all capacities and was chairman of the board for three years. He is a member of the York Rite and Scottish Rite, Knight Commander Court of Honor and the DeMolay Legion of Honor.

Todd, a native of St. Louis, is a graduate of Westminster College in Fulton, Mo. He is a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army after college. As a Boy Scout, Todd earned the Eagle with Silver Palm and Order of The Arrow. He attended two national jamborees. As an adult, he has served as scoutmaster and troop committee chairman. Todd’s son was the third family generation to earn the Eagle award. He is also a Shriner.

Todd is chairman and chief executive officer of Valley Technologies, Inc., an aerospace manufacturing company that provides certified metal heat treating services. The company also presses and machines aluminum forgings which are used in wing and airframe structures for military and commercial aircraft, rockets and missiles. He holds a multi-engine pilot’s license.

Todd’s hobbies include woodworking, collecting and operating Lionel trains, traveling, and playing with his grandchildren. Married in 1966, Todd and his wife Brenda have two married children and four grandchildren.
