Shriners Hospitals for Children Partners With Make the Difference Network

Make the Difference Network (MTDN) is an online community designed to bring together non-profit organizations and supporters. Founded by actress Jessica Biel, her father Jon Biel, and his business partner Kent McBride, the site taps into the power of social media to help nonprofits connect with supporters. Shriners Hospitals for Children is proud to be part of this unique network.
Based on the premise “a little can make a lot of difference,” MTDN allows 501(c)(3) organizations to post profiles on mtdn.com. Ideas on how to help organizations are presented through “wishes” posted by each charity. Every wish includes a short explanation and a monetary goal. Donations through the site go toward fulfilling specific wishes and progress is displayed right there on the page, showing donors how they are making a difference. Donors can also track the progress of wishes and connect with others in supporting their favorite charities.
MTDN also features "Celebrities Who Care," where well-known people from entertainment, sports, fashion and business sponsor their favorite charities. Grammy Award-winner Justin Timberlake is the celebrity sponsor for Shriners Hospitals for Children and the celebrity host of the annual Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas.
