The Shriners Hospital in St. Louis is an 80-bed pediatric orthopaedic hospital providing comprehensive orthopaedic care to children at no charge.
An interdisciplinary approach is used in patient care programs to ensure comprehensive care for each patient. The staff includes orthopaedists and pediatricians, as well as other medical specialists.
While the hospital is staffed and equipped to handle virtually all pediatric orthopaedic problems, with the exception of acute trauma, the hospital has developed a special expertise in the following areas:

- Bowed legs (Blounts Disease and non-nutritional and nutritional rickets)
- Cerebral palsy (limited to the related orthopaedic conditions)
