Shriner's Hospitals

For Patients and Families
Family-Centered Care
Our goal is to provide our patients with the highest quality medical care available. Because the needs and goals of each child - and each family - are unique, we use a team approach to fulfill needs of our patients. We recognize that parents are the experts who know the most about their children and we encourage family members to be involved in their children's care.

Costs

What Costs Are Covered

Inpatient and outpatient services at Shriners Hospital are provided at no charge to patients, their families or any third party .

Diagnostic services provided by an outside facility (such as MRI, CT scans, etc.) may be billed to the patient's insurance by the referral facility. Any outside diagnostic tests/consults conducted, however, will not result in any costs for the family. Shriners Hospital will pay any insurance deductible, co-pay, or balance of cost not covered by the patient's insurance to ensure there will be no out-of-pocket cost to the patients.

What Costs Are Not Covered

Often patients need special equipment and services after hospitalization. Shriners Hospital does not cover these items. However, social workers at Shriners are available to help locate resources for patients needing special equipment, services, or medical care that is outside the scope of our mission.
