The Joint Commission Right of Notification of Safety or Quality Concern

Shriners Hospitals for Children in the United States are accredited by The Joint Commission.

The Joint Commission standards deal with an organization's quality, safety-of-care issues, and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. Shriners is committed to meeting The Joint Commission standards in all these areas.

Shriners has an open door policy, which means that anyone has the opportunity to address their concerns directly with hospital leadership. Please contact Deborah Taylor, R.N., director of performance improvement at (513) 872-6317 to address any concerns.

If the issue is not resolved by the hospital, you are free to contact The Joint Commission directly to raise your concerns:

Office of Quality Monitoring
The Joint Commission
One Renaissance Blvd.
Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181
630-792-5636 (fax)
complaint@JCAHO.org

In addition, the Cincinnati Hospital will have an unannounced survey by The Joint Commission every three years to assess compliance to the standards.
