We realize your presence during your
child's stay at the hospital is very reassuring, therefore we encourage
one parent/guardian to stay at the bedside. We provide a single cot,
bed linen and shower facilities for the comfort and convenience of the
parent staying.

Constitution Inn
The Constitution Inn is a hotel which provides inexpensive temporary
housing for patients' families through a special agreement with
Shriners Hospitals for Children. The hotel has a number of bedrooms, a
laundry room, common living room area, kitchen, fitness center and
pool. The rooms have double beds, a microwave, mini refrigerator,
television, telephone, free wireless access and private bath.
Making reservations for the Constitution Inn
If your local Shriners sponsor (or other private charitable fund) has
agreed to pay your hotel room charges, make your room reservations by
calling the care coordination department secretary, at least one week
in advance of your admission date, at (617) 371-4785.
If you will be paying your own hotel room charges, make your room
reservations by calling the Constitution Inn. Be sure to tell the
lodging coordinator that you are family of a Shriners Hospital patient.

If you are paying your own hotel room charges and no special
"hospital rate" rooms are available, the regular room rates will be
charged. Be sure to confirm your reservations and room rates.
Parking and shuttle service for Constitution Inn
There is parking available at the Shipyard Garage on 13th
Street near the Inn for a per-day fee, if validated at the Inn. There
is a shuttle bus to transport families to and from the hospital 7 days
a week. Shuttle service is limited on weekends and there is no shuttle
service on holidays. You may park at a the hospital at no charge.

Transportation
Transportation to and from the hospital is often provided by
Shriners Hospital volunteers. These gentlemen provide rides to and from
bus terminals, train stations and the airport Monday through Friday
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The volunteers will help you with two pieces of
luggage per person, and the luggage should not weigh more than 30lbs
each. Arrangements for pick-ups can be made by calling the care
coordination department at (617) 371-4785. If you have a cellphone,
please provide that number when making arrangements.

Bus
The Mass Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) buses run through Boston
daily. Schedules are available at the Park Street Information Booth,
Downtown Crossing and Government Center Stations, or by calling (617) 222-3200 or on the web at http://mbta.com
Subway
There are four subway lines which travel through Boston and the
surrounding communities. All subway operations begin around 5:15 a.m.
and run through 12:30 or 1:00 a.m. The fees are $2.00 per person,
